Fast UI is less about micro-optimizing and more about making predictable choices. When layout, spacing, and typography follow a small set of rules, you ship faster and users feel the consistency.
My default constraints are simple: keep components composable, avoid deeply nested DOM, and prefer a small set of reusable patterns over one-off styling.
On interaction-heavy screens, I also avoid expensive effects on large surfaces and keep transitions short. A subtle glass treatment can look premium while still being lightweight.
